North NorfolkFish Company

John and Fiona Griffin founded the North Norfolk Fish Company in 1997 and still direct it from a converted stable yard just off Holt's high street. The counter carries fish landed on the Norfolk coast alongside stock brought in from Scotland, plus home-smoked and home-cooked produce made on the premises. The shop has twice been named Fishmonger of the Year and runs cookery workshops and demonstrations with local chefs through the year. It also caters for parties, weddings and functions. Opening hours are shorter than a supermarket counter, running Tuesday to Saturday, which keeps the shop close to the working rhythm of a small fish business.
