Notorious PizzaCo, Magherafelt

Notorious Pizza Co. began in late 2016 when three friends from the Limavady area, DJ O'Brien, Ruairi Glavin and Odhran Hassan, started firing wood-fired pizzas from a trailer after finding it difficult to source authentic pizza locally. The trailer traded around Mid Ulster from 2018 before the trio opened a permanent, single-site restaurant at 44 Queen Street, Magherafelt, in September 2022, serving Neapolitan-style pizza with an Irish twist alongside cocktails in a sit-down dining room. The original trailer still operates for events and markets, but the Magherafelt address remains the only fixed restaurant location. The name reflects the trio's early struggle to find decent pizza in Northern Ireland, turned into a running joke that stuck.
