Rebecca Joselyn trained in metalwork and jewellery at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating in 2006, then joined the Silversmiths' starter programme at Persistence Works before setting up her own studio there in 2007. She still works from that single workshop within Yorkshire Artspace, in Sheffield's Cultural Industries Quarter, making bespoke silverware and jewellery to commission alongside gallery pieces. Her practice draws on everyday, throwaway objects, translating forms such as paper cups into hand-raised silver vessels. Pieces by Joselyn are held in the Pearson Silver Collection, the largest private collection of post-war British designer silver, and she produced a commemorative silverware collection for Wentworth Woodhouse in memory of Dame Julie Kenny. She has also made presentation silver gifted to Queen Elizabeth II.
