A family has hired out traditional Thames rowing skiffs from these boathouses beside Richmond Bridge since 1908, alongside boatbuilding, repairs and mooring services. Boats seating one to twelve people go out on the river from March to October, weather and the boatmaster's discretion permitting, giving visitors a slow way to see Richmond from the water.
