South Hill Park Arts Centre occupies an eighteenth-century mansion and its grounds on Ringmead, south of Bracknell town centre. Set up as a registered charity in 1973, it now houses two theatres, including the 330-seat Wilde Theatre, added in 1984, a smaller studio space, a cinema showing independent and mainstream film, and a dance studio, alongside function rooms in the original house. The grounds include lakes and woodland open to the public, with free parking for around 200 cars. Between the theatres, cinema and a regular programme of courses and workshops, the centre puts on several hundred shows, events and screenings a year. It remains a single-site venue run by its own charitable trust, with an outreach programme working with local schools and community groups.
