Leah runs Spin Pottery from a unit in the Hidden Lane, the converted service alley off Argyle Street that holds around a hundred artists' studios in Finnieston. Her one-hour wheel-throwing sessions are capped at four people so each participant gets real time behind the wheel rather than watching a demonstration. Beginners leave with a piece that is fired and glazed off-site and ready for collection three to four weeks later; the studio also runs sessions aimed at children. A small retail counter at the front sells finished ceramics alongside the class bookings. The surrounding lane holds jewellers, painters and a tearoom, giving the studio passing footfall beyond its own booking list.
