Spry Wines

Opened in 2019 by Matt Jackson and Marzena at 1 Haddington Place, at the top of Leith Walk, Spry operates as a single-site wine bar and bottle shop specialising in naturally made wines produced without additives. Bottles from the retail shelves can be taken away or opened to drink in, with customers choosing between bar seating and table service. The food menu is built around local, seasonal produce and changes with the kitchen's suppliers. The wine list favours small growers over large estates, spanning France, Italy, Georgia and beyond. Spry has been reviewed by the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide. The Haddington Place address has been the only Spry site since opening, with no second bar or shop elsewhere in the city.
