The Miners Arms is a freehouse pub and restaurant in Whitecroft, run by Mario and Karen Constantinides since 2007. Mario, previously a DJ, actor, and nightclub manager, moved into the trade with his wife and young daughter and now works as the pub's chef. The pub keeps real ale and cider on tap, cooking pub classics and daily specials from locally sourced produce, and has hosted live music and a function room alongside its bar. In April 2015 it featured across a four-part BBC Two series, Alex Polizzi: Chefs on Trial, which followed candidates competing for the head chef post, and Mario later discussed local perry and cider on Great British Food Revival. The building stands in the former mining hamlet of Whitecroft, with two gardens and a patio for outdoor drinking and dining.
