The Oban Inn has traded from the corner of Stafford Street since 1790, four years before the town's distillery was built, making it one of the oldest working buildings on Oban's original harbour-front street plan. The public bar keeps its dark wood panelling and floors laid in Easdale slate, with maritime curios and banknotes from visiting sailors' home countries pinned across the beams. Two changing cask ales are poured at any time, often from Fyne Ales over in Cairndow, rather than a fixed house lineup tied to one brewer.
