Family-owned 18th-century coaching inn on Woodhead Road in Holmbridge, opened in 2013 in a previously derelict pub on the edge of the Peak District. Six en-suite bedrooms are each named after a British game bird, plus a self-catering apartment. Serves real ales and a seasonal menu cooked on site.
