The Roscoe Head is one of a tiny handful of pubs to appear in every edition of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide since it began in 1974 — a small, snug, multi-room Liverpool local kept for over thirty years by landlady Carol Ann Ross. When the pub company that owned it tried to sell it off, a five-year campaign ended with Ross buying the freehold herself in 2020, making it a true free house at last. A perfectly preserved little pub, saved by the woman who runs it. Find the snug and stay in it.
