Built in 1865 by John Harvey for the arrival of the railway at Glynde, the Trevor Arms takes its name from Henry Trevor, owner of the Glynde estate at the time. Harveys sold the pub in 2011 and it became a free house, though it still keeps at least one Harveys beer on tap. After an eight-year closure, Steve Keegan and Bethany Warren reopened it in 2025, installing Fourman Brewery, run by Robin Head, formerly of Burning Sky and Beak, to brew on the premises. Around 90 percent of what the kitchen sells comes from local suppliers, according to head chef Matt. The pub stands on The Street next to Glynde railway station, within the South Downs National Park.
