Triya Ceramic Studio operates from Unit 28 of the Crosshill Community Enterprise Centre on Main Street, Crosshill, near Lochgelly, run by ceramic artist Helene Houston. Houston trained in sculpture and ceramic technique in South Africa before teaching art in schools there and later moving to Scotland, where she began running community pottery classes. The studio now offers regular wheel-throwing and hand-building sessions across the week, including Tuesday morning and evening classes, Wednesday evenings, Thursday mornings and Saturday afternoons, alongside one-day taster workshops for newcomers. A single drop-in session costs £35, with a fixed £25 rate for those booking multiple monthly sessions. Kiln hire is available to potters working on their own pieces. Triya is a member of both the Craft Potters Association and the Scottish Potters Association, and gift vouchers are sold for classes and studio time.
