Arts Centre Washington stands on Biddick Lane at Fatfield, run by Sunderland Culture, a registered charity (no. 1184073) backed by Sunderland City Council, the University of Sunderland and Arts Council England. The year-round programme takes in exhibitions, performance, film and workshops: recent listings include CHROMA: A Measure of Colour by Interface Arts, Hotseat Life Drawing for over-18s and family film screenings. Courtyard Studios, youth sessions for ages 11–21 and hireable spaces complete it.
