The Seaburn Bay serves fish and chips from a family-run restaurant and takeaway on Bents Road, just back from Seaburn's promenade. The kitchen fries to order rather than holding batches under a heat lamp, and the menu keeps to a traditional seaside range: cod, haddock, scampi and daily specials alongside the usual chips, mushy peas and curry sauce. Seating is split between a sit-in dining room and a separate takeaway hatch, so queues for a walk along the beach do not compete with table service inside. The restaurant is a registered member of the National Federation of Fish Friers, the industry's trade body. Its position on the seafront makes it a stop for dog walkers and cyclists on the coastal path as much as for evening diners.
