Weavers Gallery

Weavers Gallery occupies a building on Church Lane in Ledbury and is run by artist Amanda Wright, who changes the exhibition programme through the year to cover painting, textiles, quilting, embroidery and book art. Entry is free, and the gallery gives space to artists working outside the more commercial mediums that dominate many small-town galleries. During the annual Ledbury Poetry Festival, Weavers Gallery mounts a textile exhibition built around that year's festival theme, tying its programme to the town's literary calendar. It also takes part in Herefordshire Art Week each September, opening its doors alongside studios and galleries across the county. The gallery closes on Mondays while exhibitions are changed over, and otherwise keeps daytime hours in step with the rest of Church Lane's independent shops.
