Weetwood traces its name to a barn in the hamlet of Weetwood, near Kelsall, where the first brew was made in 1992 under founders Adrian Slater and Roger Langford. The brewery is now run by directors Laura Humby and Philip McLaughlin, who have expanded the site into a combined brewery, distillery and taproom producing more than eighteen regular cask and keg beers alongside gin, vodka and, since 2022, Cheshire's first single malt whisky. The taproom and shop sell the full range direct to visitors, with seating inside and out and street-food vendors setting up on Thursday and Saturday evenings through the summer. Free parking is available on site, and both children and dogs are welcome. The taproom closes on Sundays and Mondays, reopening Tuesday at ten.
