Amersham Museum sits at 49 High Street in Old Amersham, based largely in a medieval hall house with a timber-framed Tudor section. Visitors can sit at the Tudor dinner table, the 1930s living room and Ron Haddock's 1960s record shop, follow a timeline from fossils to medieval tiles and historical maps, and walk the medicinal herb garden. It is an independent registered charity, run almost entirely by volunteers with no local or central government funding. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 11.30am to 4pm.
