Brantholme

Jo and Frank have run Brantholme as a bed and breakfast in Ambleside since July 2019, working through a programme of refurbishment on the Millans Park house since taking over. Five en-suite rooms are fitted with super-king or twin beds, and a ground-floor room is available for guests who cannot manage stairs. The house sits a two-minute walk from Ambleside's shops and pubs but backs onto a quiet lane, with private parking, a hot tub and a summer house for guests in the garden. Breakfast is cooked to order rather than served buffet-style, and Jo and Frank keep the guest list small enough to greet everyone by name.
