Cosgrove Narrowboat Company operates from Cosgrove Wharf on Lock Lane, on the Grand Union Canal between Milton Keynes and Northampton, and has run canal boat trips from the site since the 1970s. The company offers private charter trips of between one hour and a full day, available on weekdays, evenings and weekends, plus self-drive day-boat hire for up to twelve people aboard traditional narrowboats fitted with tiller steering, a gas hob, fridge and toilet compartment. Routes run north toward Stoke Bruerne through Northamptonshire countryside or south through Milton Keynes, passing Cosgrove Lock, the village's ornamental bridge and the Grade II*-listed Iron Trunk aqueduct, which carries the canal over the River Great Ouse. Day-boat customers pilot their own boat rather than being skippered, with hire prices covering diesel, gas and water. The wharf sits within Cosgrove village, on the county boundary between Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
