Craft House Beer Café opened on Clifton Street in Lytham in August 2016, the first micropub in the area, run by owner Chris. The single small room keeps three rotating cask ales and a cider on the bar alongside three craft keg beers, with light bar snacks rather than a kitchen menu. A pavement seating area outside gets busy through summer, and the pub takes no televisions or fruit machines, following the simple micropub format rather than a conventional bar layout. CAMRA members get a 10p discount per pint, and the free house has no tie to any pub company or brewery, giving Chris a free hand over which cask ales appear each week. Dogs are welcome inside, and the site sits close enough to Lytham railway station and the town's bus routes to draw passing trade alongside its regulars.
