Lincoln House occupies a Victorian townhouse built in 1900 on Cathedral Road in Pontcanna, bought by Kathleen and Neil Howard in 1997 and still run by the same family, with their son Matthew now managing day-to-day operations. The hotel keeps twenty-one en-suite rooms across three floors, each with a shower or bath, and a cooked or continental breakfast is included in every room rate. Original Victorian features such as fireplaces and cornicing have been kept through successive refurbishments alongside modern additions like Wi-Fi and a secure car park. The hotel holds three Visit Wales stars and gold awards for both customer care and hygiene, and has held the top TripAdvisor ranking among Cardiff hotels for several years running.
