Little Town Farm Shop stands on the working farm that Matt and Eileen have run since the early 1960s, when they kept seven cows and built a milk round delivering bottled milk to doorsteps and restaurants around Longridge. When milk quotas arrived in 1984, Eileen trained to make yoghurt, and the family added soured cream and creme fraiche after building a new dairy in 1993. In 2004, Matt, Eileen and their daughter Julie opened the farm shop itself, selling home-reared Aberdeen Angus beef, local lamb and Old Spot pork alongside sausages, burgers and pies made on site. The shop stocks Little Town Dairy's own yoghurts and creams, bread from regional bakeries, Walling's ice cream and local cheeses, plus fruit and vegetables. A tea room serves breakfasts and lunches, and a garden centre and pet feed section sit alongside. The business still sources meat from its own Forest of Bowland livestock.
