This shop opened in December 2000 as a co-operative of 25 local makers, growing out of the Stroud makers' markets that began in 1991. Structured today as a community interest company, it sells pottery, textiles, jewellery and woodwork made by its member-makers, who take turns staffing the till and share the shop's running costs and profits between them.
