Maenllwyd Guest House occupies a former manse on Newtown Road in Machynlleth, a building that dates to around 1800 and has been run as a bed and breakfast by the same family since 1980. Current hosts Gareth and Jane offer seven en-suite rooms, each with tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer and free fibre broadband, and keep a large garden with a decking area for guests in warmer months. The dining room was refurbished in 2020 and is where breakfast is served each morning, described by regular guests as properly filling rather than a token spread. There is off-road parking for cars and separate storage for bicycles. Check-in runs from 4pm to 10pm, with check-out at 10am, and earlier arrival can be arranged directly with the hosts.
