Redcastle produces gin and rum from a unit on Arbroath's Kirkton Industrial Estate, where the still room doubles as a shop and tasting space. Visitors can sit interactive tasting and blending sessions, working through botanicals to build their own gin or rum recipe alongside the distillers. The core range has picked up a Great Taste two-star, a Gold in the Rum and Cachaca Masters, a Scottish Gin Awards Silver and an IWSC Silver over recent years. It is an independent, single-site operation rather than a contract brand, usually open to callers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Bottles, liqueurs and a spiced rum are sold direct from the premises, and the blending sessions are booked ahead. The location is functional rather than scenic, but the draw is hands-on time with small-batch spirits made on-site.
