Luke Miskimmin opened Redmond's on Duke Street in 2014; staff began playing records behind the bar in its first months and the idea became the pub's identity, earning it a reputation as Glasgow's first vinyl bar. Customers choose whole albums, never individual tracks, from a collection that has grown to around 1,500, with a shorter monthly menu of twenty-five to thirty records to narrow the choice. Five rotating draught lines and roughly 150 bottled and canned beers change to a monthly regional theme, running through Scotland in January, Belgium in August and Germany in October. The kitchen serves bao buns, ramen and katsu alongside Asian-inflected pub food such as kimchi mac and cheese bites. Scottish Licensed Trade News named it Craft Beer Bar of the Year in 2024.
