Nice 'n' Sleazy has operated from 421 Sauchiehall Street since 1991, taking its name from the 1978 Stranglers single. Nice 'N' Sleazy Ltd was incorporated in 1997 and remains the sole trading company behind the venue, which is not part of a wider bar or promoter group. The building holds a ground-floor bar and a basement live room that has hosted touring and local bands for more than three decades, alongside club nights, open-mic sessions and DJ sets running into the early hours. The venue sits close to Glasgow School of Art and has been a fixture of the city's guitar-band scene since the early 1990s, hosting acts early in their careers before they moved to larger rooms. Programming mixes local promoters' club nights with touring support slots, and the basement operates as a separate ticketed space from the upstairs bar. It remains a single-site, independently owned business with no other branches.
