The Lismore has occupied a corner tenement unit on Dumbarton Road in Partick since 1996, when the site was converted from a plainer local pub into a Highland-themed bar named after the island in Loch Linnhe. Dark wood panelling, bare stonework and a set of stained-glass windows depicting the Highland Clearances were commissioned as part of that refit; CAMRA lists the conversion in its Good Beer Guide as an example of an outstanding pub restoration. The bar keeps nine handpumps, mixing regular and rotating cask ales from breweries including Cromarty and Fyne Ales, alongside a whisky list that has previously won Scottish Licensed Trade News's whisky bar award. Folk music sessions run on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings, and there is an open-mic night on Thursdays. It is run as a single, independently operated bar rather than part of a larger pub group, open seven days from 11am to midnight.
