Niall opened Wee Beer Shop on Pollokshaws Road in October 2017, after leaving a marketing job to move from Glasgow's West End to the southside. The shop sells canned and bottled beer exclusively from independent breweries, spanning Glasgow producers alongside others from across Scotland, the rest of the UK and Europe, with new lines rotated through the fridges regularly. It is family run, with relatives helping behind the counter, and operates from a single shop with no other locations. As well as retail sales, the shop runs occasional in-store tastings and takes mixed-case orders for local delivery and UK-wide shipping. Trading hours are shorter than a typical off-licence: the shop opens from early afternoon Wednesday to Sunday and is closed on Monday and Tuesday. It has built a reputation on the southside for stocking beers not widely available in supermarkets or larger chains, sourced directly from breweries rather than national distributors.
