Some Great Reward is a record shop, café and small label rolled into one, opened on Pollokshaws Road on the Southside by Olly MacFadden in 2018. New and second-hand vinyl across genres, a coffee while you flick through the racks, and the shop's own releases — it is the kind of independent record shop that doubles as a neighbourhood hangout, the Southside's answer to the city-centre stalwarts. In a city with one of Britain's deepest music cultures, a good local record shop is a piece of civic infrastructure. This is one of the good ones.
