Scott opened Replay Records in 1999 after several years working in retail management, and the shop has moved three times since: from Haven Mill to a larger unit next door, then to Railway Street in 2011 before settling on Freeman Street in 2014. It calls itself Grimsby's only independent record store, and the racks mix pre-owned vinyl and CDs with new releases and back-catalogue reissues from the major labels. Alongside records, the shop stocks band T-shirts, badges and other music accessories, and trade picks up sharply around Record Store Day each spring. Replay also acts as the main ticket outlet for Yardbirds Rock Club gigs, tying the shop into the town's live music circuit rather than leaving it as a standalone retailer. Regulars flick through the second-hand crates while newer pressings sit up front near the till.
