Semola is a small Italian restaurant at 6 Church Road, Hove, run by Luca and Roberto, whose cooking draws on family traditions from Milan and Puglia. Fresh pasta is made daily on site using different grades of semolina flour, each suited to a particular shape or sauce. The menu changes with the seasons and favours locally sourced produce alongside ingredients brought in from Italy. Alongside pasta courses, the kitchen serves antipasti, mains and desserts, with a compact list of Italian wines. The restaurant occupies a single dining room on a stretch of Church Road long associated with independent places to eat, and takes set menus for groups of six or more.
