Stroud Brewery

Greg Pilley started brewing in a rented unit at Thrupp in 2006 and built what the brewery describes as the world's first organic B Corp brewery — certified organic across every cask, keg, bottle and can, B Corp since 2018, and rehoused since 2019 in a purpose-built canalside home where the taproom and a wood-fired pizza kitchen share the floor with the tanks. The community sees the accounts as well as the beer: £27,700 went to local charities and groups in the last reported year, and over forty per cent of the staff are under twenty-four. The towpath delivers you to the door.
