The Rashleigh Inn is a three-hundred-year-old free house set directly on the sand at Polkerris, a small hamlet between Par and Fowey once used as a pilchard fishing station. Its bar looks straight out over the beach, and the pub is known locally as a spot to watch the sunset with a drink in hand. The kitchen serves breakfast until midday, pub classics, burgers and a changing specials board using fresh, local ingredients, with food available through most of the day. Dogs are welcome throughout the bar and dining room, wet from the sea or not. As a free house rather than a brewery-tied pub, the Rashleigh sets its own beer list and is run independently from this single Polkerris address, with no connection to any other pub.
