The VintageHouse

The Vintage House has traded whisky from 42 Old Compton Street since around 1940, one of the oldest shops of its kind in Soho. Owner Malcolm Mullin has run the counter for nearly forty years, building a list of more than 1,300 malts alongside Armagnacs dating back to 1879 and a case of Cuban cigars. A narrow staircase leads up to the Soho Whisky Club, a members' room poured by the glass that Mullin overhauled in 2024 with the Craft Irish Whiskey Company. Mullin has sold wine to the Beatles and cigars to Angelina Jolie over the years, regulars who wandered in from the street outside.
