The Thorney Society runs this museum at The Tankyard on Station Road, Thorney, near Peterborough, as a community group with charitable status, registered charity 238235. Displays bring the area's history from ancient to modern times, with a commitment to local heritage and social history including architecture, archaeology, culture, natural history and arts. The 2026 season opens on Easter Sunday, 5th April, then Sundays 2-5pm until the end of September, except Open Farm weekend on 7th June. The WC is currently a Portaloo.
