Alexandra and Kenny run Aiden House from what they describe as their family home in Durness, offering three en-suite bed-and-breakfast rooms and three bespoke self-catering shepherd's huts, Acacia, Kenandra and Oldshore, each sleeping two. The huts and rooms look out over sea and mountains from the most north-westerly point of the British mainland with a B&B on it. Funding from the EU LEADER programme and the Scottish Government supported the build of the huts, which sit in the garden away from the main house. No pets are permitted in either the house or the huts, and guests are asked to route requests outside eight in the morning until eight at night by email rather than phone. The property has won a Travellers' Choice award for its position among the top ten per cent of listings worldwide.
