Burnside Brewery

Burnside Brewery was established in 2010 by Gary and Dave Metcalfe on an industrial unit at Laurencekirk Business Park, with ownership passing in 2018 to the current team of Steve Lewis, Margo Metcalfe and Gary Gibb. The brewery produces a range of cask and keg beers, including Stone River and Chain & Anchor, using ingredients sourced within Scotland where possible. Visitors can book the Be the Brewer experience, a day spent brewing an actual batch alongside the team, followed by a brewery lunch and a tasting session, with a case of the finished beer to take home. An on-site bottle shop stocks the full core range plus occasional one-off and seasonal brews. Guided group tours are also available by prior arrangement.
