Chris Dodd began making stained glass as a hobby in the late 1990s after the birth of his son, and turned it into a full-time trade before setting up Cariad Glass in Llandysul in 2009. His wife Justine joined the business some years later, having previously worked in sales, marketing and at Disneyland Paris, and now works alongside him full time. From their workshop on the Teifi Units industrial site, the couple design and make leaded lights and stained glass panels to commission, and carry out restoration work on historic windows for clients across the UK and further afield, including Australia, New Zealand and the United States. They also run stained glass tuition sessions for beginners at the studio, teaching cutting, leading and soldering. Chris's work has previously been shown in video form at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Visitors are advised to call ahead before dropping in, as opening times vary.
