CellB occupies the former Edwardian county police station, courthouse and cells in the centre of Blaenau Ffestiniog, converted into a two-screen cinema, live-music and performance venue, bar and pizza kitchen, with a hostel on the upper floors. It is run by Gwallgofiaid, a not-for-profit social enterprise that has provided creative and media training for young people in the town since 2003, and takings help fund that work. The two screens, Sgrin1 and Sgrin2, show current releases alongside Welsh-language and independent films, while the main hall hosts gigs, comedy and community nights; the Pizza Stiniog kitchen serves stone-baked pizza on event evenings. Standing among the slate tips of Eryri, the venue pairs a working cultural programme with paid training for local young people, and remains a single-site, independently governed operation rather than part of any chain.
