Maegden

Emma Brown and Jo Moore opened Maegden on Bushmills' Main Street after starting out with a grilled cheese food truck parked near the Giant's Causeway in 2017. The shop works as a cheesemonger, sourcing most of its stock directly from small farmhouse producers across Ireland and bringing in a Scottish selection through Edinburgh's IJ Mellis Cheesemongers. Alongside the cheese counter, Maegden sells deli staples, sweet treats, and specialty coffee, and still serves grilled cheese sandwiches through the afternoon. Cheeseboards and platters are made to order for private events and celebrations. The shop trades every day of the week, built on producers the owners sought out themselves rather than a standard wholesale list.
