Peinn Mor Pottery occupies the former village school at Pinmore, a few miles south of Girvan, where a working potter produces handmade stoneware and decorative ceramics on site. The old schoolroom doubles as a gallery, showing finished pots, bowls, jugs and one-off pieces for sale alongside the wheel and kilns where they are made. Visitors can watch throwing in progress, browse the shelves and book onto pottery sessions run in the studio. The setting, on the quiet road through the hills above the Stinchar valley, makes it a stop for people touring south Ayrshire rather than a high-street shop, and it opens Wednesday to Sunday from late morning, with visits at other times by arrangement. It is a small independent maker's studio, selling directly from the place the work is thrown rather than through third-party outlets.
