RMC Ceramics

RMC Ceramics is the studio of maker Ros Mayne-Caudwell, working from a single premises on Canford Lane in Westbury-on-Trym. She throws stoneware pottery and hand-builds porcelain jewellery on site, developing her own glazes for tableware, vases and decorative pieces. The studio is open by appointment rather than passing trade, and also hosts small private classes and events for those wanting to learn wheel-throwing. Retail sales, previously handled through a shop, now run through an online platform alongside direct studio visits. Pieces are made in small batches rather than mass-produced, with variation between individual items expected as part of the handmade process. It represents a working ceramics studio rather than a gallery or retail-first outlet, with production the primary activity on site.
