Strangers Brewing Co. brews from a converted vegetable shed at Narrowboat Farm, an eco-friendly market garden on the edge of Linlithgow, having launched in 2021 following a crowdfunding campaign. Founder Brett set up the microbrewery to make small-batch beer using local ingredients, including produce grown on the farm itself, and took the brewery's name and branding from Linlithgow's burgh motto about being kind to strangers. The brewery cans rather than bottles its beer and returns spent grain and other waste to the farm. Its core range runs to pale ales, a red ale and a porter, supplemented by seasonal beers that follow what is being grown or foraged on site. Strangers sells beer directly through its own website and a beer club subscription, alongside keg hire for private events. It is registered at Companies House as Strangers Brewing Company Ltd (SC690749) and listed on CAMRA's brewery database, based entirely at its Narrowboat Farm site rather than operating multiple premises.
