Alyson and Ross Jamieson set up Linlithgow Distillery in 2017, bringing spirit-making back to the town after a long gap. The small family-run distillery, on the Little Mill Business Park at Linlithgow Bridge, produces its LinGin range and a gin named Four Marys, after the ladies-in-waiting to Mary, Queen of Scots. Production and bottling happen on site, and the distillery runs pre-booked tours and tastings lasting around ninety minutes, taking visitors through the process before a guided flight of five gins, with a non-alcoholic serve for drivers. A shop sells the full range plus merchandise, open Tuesday to Friday, and tour guests receive a discount on bottles. It is an independent operation rather than a contract-distilled label, and sits a short distance from Linlithgow town centre and the Union Canal.
