The Deliof Malton

The Deli of Malton is a delicatessen and small cafe on Market Place in Malton, a market town that runs a monthly food market and trades on its reputation as a Yorkshire food centre. The counters carry cut cheeses, cooked meats, antipasti, olives, preserves and chutneys, with a range of wine and store-cupboard goods, much of it sourced from Yorkshire producers. Alongside the shop it serves light lunches, sandwiches, cakes and coffee to eat in or take away. Trading since 2016 as a single independent shop rather than a branch of a chain, it sits among the town's cluster of butchers, bakers and specialist food businesses. It is a useful stop for putting together a picnic before heading out onto the moors or the Wolds.
