The Pottery Loft occupies a first-floor unit on High Grange Avenue in Billingham, where owners Liz and Gemma run pottery-painting sessions alongside a café and a small soft-play area for younger children. Visitors choose a piece of bisque pottery and decorate it themselves, with sessions starting at eight pounds; the studio also offers keepsake services such as pressing hand, foot or pet paw prints into clay, 3D casts, and jewellery pieces made from imprints. Beyond pottery painting, Liz and Gemma run glass-fusing and clay-modelling workshops and host children's parties, hen parties and corporate events. The studio opens Wednesday to Saturday, with hours changing around school holidays, and advises booking ahead through its website rather than dropping in unannounced, since sessions and private events can fill the space for a whole afternoon.
