Hannah Buchanan spent seventeen years in ceramics, including on the design team at Denby, before setting up The Wirksworth Pottery Company in 2020 in the Derbyshire hill town that has become a small centre for makers. She and a team of three slip-cast and finish everything by hand, and have made work on commission for the Chatsworth House Trust since 2021.
