Run by the Peak District Mines Historical Society, a society formed in 1959, this museum occupies part of the Grand Pavilion in Matlock Bath and displays winding gear, ore-crushing machinery and mock-up mine workings drawn from lead and fluorspar workings across the White Peak. The society also runs guided tours of Temple Mine, a 1920s fluorspar working on Temple Walk across the road.
